The Atlantic Coast seal hunt

After the seal hunt topic was covered in class and we watch the movie, I have to make a comment. Could these activists be continuing to document and make the seal hunt sound like such a barbaric act, because of the fact they bring in a huge amount of funds during these time? (I thing so!) Because when so many other species in need of more help then the thriving seal population at the moment, I find it hard to believe these environmentalists whom think the seal population is endangered, then the scientific fact say they are not. I think it is just a clever way to soak a large amount of money out of the people that do not have a clue what is really going on, because like in every other controversial situation the media tends to stretch the truth. As in our close, half of the people in class could not comment, and if the one side is the only one being heard, like the anti sealing side, then most likely that would be the side most people would join, unless they were better educated in the situation. I mean Greenpeace and other organizations will use this money to help other species, but do these poor sealers have to continue to be pelted with bad media, and be made out to be barbaric murderers, when they are just trying to make an honest living.
